We are Caveman & Flip-Flop!
Two Thru-hikers from Grand Rapids, Michigan
In the last four years we have fallen in love, visited 20 different U.S. states, and have hiked over 5,000 miles together. What started as workplace friendship turned into a thru-hiker romance.
In 2018 we thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail; 2,198 miles from Georgia to Maine
In 2020 we thru-hiked the Pacific Crest Trail; 2,653 miles from Mexico to Canada.
While we have many times wondered how we survived these long distance trips together, exploring the world around us has only brought us closer.
Our 29 square foot tent has been our home for over an entire year, and living out of our backpacks for months at a time is our new favorite hobby.
Follow us here, where we shared the ups and downs about what it’s really like, to spend over six straight months sharing a tent with your significant other and the perks that set couple hiking apart from the rest.
